who am i?
with the big transition almost in place and with the sad departure of ‘my’ first toddler in the class, i am going to do a ‘who am i?’ board. i have very large bulletin boards, and filling them up can be difficult sometimes. I also am trying to encourage the parents to get more involved with there toddlers and school too.
so here is the plan:
break up the board into 8 squares or bubbles. or 2 or 3 every few weeks until the end of summer and doing a big “OUR CLASS” board to commemorate the new school year.
have a large picture of them there names spelled out, a picture of there family, and write 2 fun facts about them when they are at school.
I think my creative flow is coming back. I think we are going to need another teacher soon. kids are coming out of nowhere it seems like. but its all good, just as long as i am not doing it all by my self.
new classroom (kind of)
pass over my younger tods to a new teacher so i can focus on my older tods.
for the next month or so i will be coordinating 2 classrooms, aiding the new teacher in her new journey into toddler world, and creating a whole new classroom for the children (two actually!).
expect a lot of good reference posts, ideas, and tips.

Making a Masterpiece!
I am thinking a giant collage mural is in our future..
Day one: paint with brushes and rollers.
Day two: go over with legos, forks, animal track, or anything else that will creat a cool print.
Have children do “mini samples” of each style of painting (individual activity).
Put up the beautiful masterpiece on bullitin board and attach the “mini masterpieces” around it, as well as pictures of the process.
(if all fails, quilt together a mural with the same concept)
egg carton owls.
